Homer M. Hadley Bridge Repair - Seattle, Wash.
The 9,559-foot long Homer Hadley Bridge is part of the westbound I-90 bridge connecting Seattle and Bellevue. General Construction replaced the expansion joints that were cracked and deteriorating. Being a time-sensitive project, most of the work occurred when the bridge was closed nightly for three weeks so the expansion joints could be removed and replaced. This was a two-part process with the small joints being removed and replaced in May 2009 and the large joints being removed and replaced in July 2009.
